That was a great tip Ana. I've been using that for a long time and it has become my go to place.

Thx, Albert

Hi all,

Albert's message about the application key and paragraph formatting reminded me of something I discovered relatively recently.

If you type a word in word and aren't sure if you spelled it correctly, you can move the cursor to one of the characters in the word and press the application key. If the word is spelled correctly, you hear the usual items (e.g., cut, copy), but if the word is misspelled, pressing the application key displays suggestions, which you can down-arrow through and press enter on. If Word is stumped, then you hear options like Ignore.

I'm pointing this out because I've been using Word since the '90's, but I only discovered this by accident a couple of years ago. It works on word 2010 and 2013. I assume it works in other versions as well.

Btw, yes, you can set the default paragraph style by pressing the application key, then press enter on Paragraph. After you set your values, tab to and press enter on Set As Default, and make sure you choose the option for All Documents Based on the Normal Template.

ciao
