Well, against all advice, we have put braille labels on cd's close to the
center hole.  We have most of our cd's catalogged and put corresponding
numbers in braille on the cd.  The caution one must take is to ensure the
adhesive is strong and the label will not come off.  We have a pioneer 300
and it is loaded.  Only purchases from the last year or two are not in the
catalog; just have not taken the time.  We have had a mishap or two  but
fortunately it caused no real problem.  Early on, we decided to change our
numbering system and pulled labels off.  We lost the silver or whatever it
is on one cd insodoing but were able to replace the cd.  I'm not saying you
should do this; I'm simply saying we have done it successfully so far.  It
is risky if a label comes off in the machine.  And there is always that
possibility.

We were talking about getting a labeling kit and putting braille labels on
the cd's that are not yet catalogged; won't risk  pulling labels from
already labeled cd's.  I'd like to know how wide-spread this glue problem
is; is it a legitimate concern and are there any "safe labels" which can be
brailled?
