Oh yee of little faith in Google! (Smile)

I copied your line complete with quotes into Google and got
quite a few hits. Following is just one of the first that
came up.

George.

Question:
Windows Media Player cannot rip one or more tracks from the
CD.

Related error:
This document also relates to Microsoft Windows Media Player
error C00D10D2.

Answer:
When attempting to rip an audio CD to a MP3 file on your
computer you may receive the error mentioned above. This
error is often caused by either of the below causes when
attempting to rip a CD in Windows Media player 10, 11, or
higher.

Ripping to MP3 in to low of quality

This often occurs when a user switches from ripping their
songs to WMA format to MP3 format and does not increase the
quality of rip. Follow the below steps and ensure you've got
an improved audio quality recording.

Open Windows Media Player.

In Windows Media Player click Tools from the file menu. If
you do not see the file menu press the Alt key.

In Tools click Options.

Within the Options Window click the Rip Music tab and drag
the Audio quality slider to the right where it is either the
best quality or the second to highest quality.

Proper MP3 codec not installed on the computer

If you've tried the above and still are encountering the
same issue it's likely either the correct codec / encoder is
not installed or is installed but has been corrupted by
another program. See our codec dictionary definition for
additional information about codec's as well as locations
you can download codec's.

Subject: [VICUG-L] Windows Media Player 11 Problem

Hello All:

I have a client that has a Windows Media Player 11 problem.
When she
tries ripping CDs, she gets an error message that reads
"Windows Media
Player Cannot rip one or more tracks from the CD." I have
had her check
that the box for downloading codecs automatically is
checked. With this
error message there was a web help button, but there was no
information
concerning how to resolve this error. We have her CD drive
set up to
play digital format.

Anyone have any ideas of what this message means and how we
can resolve
it?

Thanks,
