Good Morning listers,
I'm writing to ask if anybody is aware of a device which broadcasts local
(short range) radio signal originating from normal computer audio output.
I've seen it demonstrated at a local Pittsburgh, PA VIPACE meeting once
years ago, but I thought I subsequently read on this list that it might no
longer be available.
This would be a wonderful thing for me to have now since there is such a
wide range of informational content via the computer. I live in a larger
house now, and I am frequently not where the computer is, yet desirous of
audio output from it. The device I saw would allow me to receive computer
audio on any normal radio in the house.
And, while I'm thinking about it, does anybody know the range? In other
words do I have to consider whether my neighbors might be able to tune into
my narrowcasts?
To summarize, I'm looking for a place where I might purchase such a product
along with related description, pricing and order information. If anybody
has any information on this topic it would be greatly appreciated.
