My name is Khalilah Murarsheed. I had so you're video about you're graves 
disease on you tube today. I am 28 years old female living in Chicago. I've 
been suffering for five years with graves disease. I have hyperthyroidism 
disease an overactive thyroid also. I have been to fifteen doctors and 10 
hospital emergency rooms through out the past five years of my life. No one 
has really helped me for a long time. I get so depressed everyday because i 
have to live with this horrible disease. I also have a anxiety disorder and panic 
attacks. I can't sleep at night due to nervousness and stress. I get so anxious 
and irritable. I can't sit down for one minute at my house. I have panic 
attacks on the cta bus all the time. I also have hoarseness off and on 
especially in the morning everyday. I have shortness of breath in the morning 
everyday. My first endocrinologist diagnosis me with hyperthyroidism. My 
endocrinologist did an ultrasound and found a nodule on my left side of my 
thyroid gland. My doctor told me that i have an enlarged thyroid gland. I have 
chest pains, heart palpation's off an on. I have dry mouth off an on i get hot 
real quick even in the winter time. I wear a t shirt in my house when i have my 
heat on in the winter time. My hands get really cold even when I'm in the 
house.  I feel like am going to lose my mind sometimes.  I had went to the 
doctor last week complaining of the same symptom's. My doctor asked me did 
i want to go to the psych ward. I have memory problems and headaches all 
the time. I going back to my endocrinologist on Jan 9, 2008. I am going to ask 
my doctor to put me on an anti thyroid medication. I would like to know how 
long does a person have to stay on thyroid medication. I would like to know 
does thyroid medication work.
