TSH should never be used as the only diagnostic tool. To many factors affect
it and many of us have been subjected to "false" diagnoses. The ultimate
question is, how much normal T3 is actually getting into your body's cells. Too
much and too little both cause major problems.

The only person I know who used "natural remedies for hyperthyroidism" had
toxic hypothyroidism caused by pollutants from oil refineries where she lived.
It was diagnosed when she had major back pain from the muscles getting way too
tight. (Other people in her geographical area have other physical complaints
from the pollutants, including allergies, cancers -- especially brain cancer,
and a high incidence of bearing children with undeveloped brains and other
missing parts.)

The woman got involved in taking supplements from a particular company, got
better and now sells the company's products (the company has a pyramid type
marketing structure). She still is on the slightly hyper side -- an energetic
70+ year old now. But her solution might only work for the particular cause of
hypothyroidism that she experienced. If pollution is a likely factor, there
are numerous ways to obtain antioxidant and internal "cleansing" products. But
there are other causes of hyperthyroidism.
