List members,

First taking Armour thyroid in this fashion:
7:30 AM 30 mg Armour
12:30 PM 30 mg. Armour

...I found it easy to remember, after meals. I took them ontime.
However, we find the T3 fluctuations to be a cause of atrial premature
beats, Especially as the second dose rises (and the first is still in my
system).

Secondly, I am trying the following:
7:30 AM 30 mg. Armour
12:30 PM 15 mg. Armour
5:30 PM 15 mg. Armour

Again, easy to remember since they are all taken at mealtime.
however, beginning to feel after 4-5 days, that my levels are dropping more
and more this week... hypoT sluggishness was at first in the late
afternoon, then became all day symptom. I believe that there is less
absorption of my third dose, than before when it was taken at noon combined
with my second. Some possibilities are... More Food at dinnertime, Nexium
taken at that same time as well.

Therefore, I don't know what to do. How to work out my doses of Armour far
enough apart to keep my heart happy, at a time I will remember to Take them.

Your thoughts welcome!
Holly

PS--Also, since starting Armour, although my T3 is in good amount and I am
asymptomatic, my T4 is running a little low on labs(to be expected on
armour?). This is reflected in variations in TSH, as well. AM tsh before
any meds, is above 2.5 consistently. Late Afternoon TSH is around 0.9. I
am concerned that my pituitary is responding to these T3 levels so
dramatically. Is this bad for my pituitary health, longterm, to have this
variation daily?

And... with All the above in mind, would a small amount of T4, topped off
with Armour, make sense?
