Has anyone on this list done any experimentatioin with vitamins?

I have been reading up on them after having been warned by someone on the list that overdosing it can be as bad as not getting enough. I have subclinical hypothyroidism where to this point the only "symptom" is a blood test TSH of about 6. I am not under any treatment right now, and it will be three months before I get another blood test.

I was going to double up to the recommended dosage (the vitamin company recommends two a day), but this will provide 100% of the recommended Iodine and well over five times the recommended selenium (400 mcg). Its the selenium that has me concerned Of course, I could start to pick and choose instead of doing a multi-vitamin. However, I believe I probably get 50% of my iodine needs naturally. I eat a very balanced diet.

Anyone who has had any success with vitamins? Just looking for a little guidance.

Thanks -- dave
