Hi, Loren :)

Since I keep no records of what I've read in the past (other than the
sketchy ones in my head), I have to rely on the internet for a
quick-&-dirty bit of research. One thing I found, at
http://www.uia.ac.be/crc/insect_eating_in_gorillas_and_chimpanzees.htm
l is this: "..more and more studies indicate that western lowland
gorillas feed regularly and deliberately on insects, mainly social
insects (ants and termites), as do chimpanzees."
I'm sure that if I were to delve into journals of primatology, I could
find some of these "more and more studies", but I already have a job.
:) Lacking those studies, I must say that I have been impressed by the
research and compiling done at beyondveg.com. Yes, I know I'm
starting to sound like an ad for that site, but I really do believe
it's well done.
