My husband is 6' 1" and does not want to be misled that a raw foodists can
be large and look like a "body builder" on a raw food diet. He is 175 lbs
and I am encouraging him to stop trying to look like a body builder and
focus on health and strength...the naturally built or cut look will come
along with that. That article is confusing and does not answer how much raw
food David or Thor consume generally. I noticed Thor defended his weight
gain with not enough time to work on himself. The question of how much raw
food this diet advocator is eating is legitimate and I thought done in a
polite way. I know many people can be opinionated and rude with regards to
the matter but for someone like my husband who is dedicated to health and
balanced raw food, we are just trying to stay abreast of the current
information regarding the health attributes of this way of eating.

I do wonder as an advocator of the raw food lifestyle does Thor's family
practices it as well. He seems guarded of them and the way they eat. I have
4 and 6 year old boys who are over 80% raw foods along with their father and
I am almost entirely raw. We are not vegan and we do not sprout. We all look
very lean and muscular but I believe we would be hard pressed to gain weight
eating this way. We look for honest people that are responsible for their
actions, especially when they are selling "how to" books, and a load of
products to consumers looking to them for answers.

The moderator of the electronic bulletin board on the NFL site, has
politely asked me to post the following URL as a counterbalance to the
URL/article posted previously:

---SNIP--- weight gain is associated with cooked food consumption,
my question - how raw is he, really? - is a reasonable, relevant,
and polite question.

PS I am not critical of cooked food consumption. I also disagree
with the claim that "Cooked food is poison". :-)
