Re: Using Information from another web site and VIOLATING the agreement on
the terms under which that information could be borrowed. The site from
which information was "borrowed" is:
http://www.future.net/~bradj/father.html

Dear Friends,
I am writing to inform you of a most unfortunate turn of events. Back in
November I made an agreement with a Professor Michael Kasdaglis (of the
so-called "The American Board of Mental Health Diagnostics") to use about
200 of the sites from my META-index for his Meta-index ** IFF ** he would
agree to provide a link (a reasonable description and hot-button) to my
site: http://www.future.net/~bradj/it.html. He originally did so and used
my site VERY much in the construction of his meta-index. (In fact, the
descriptions of the sites I found, in over 300 hours worth of work, are
word-for-word MINE ON HIS SITE *and* his meta-index web page is so much
based on mine that the html name of it is "father.html", JUST LIKE MINE --
if you save his site this is the name of it in the "Bookmarks" list). In
any case, Kasdaglis originally conformed to my stipulation that he include
a hot button to my "it.html" site in order to use the sites and site
descriptions I spent 100*s* of hours finding, but he has NOW broken that
agreement completely and has NOT shown a willingness to abide by **any**
fair agreement. He is now in violation of copyright law. To indicate that
he did acknowledge the necessity of conforming to our agreement I quote the
following note from him:

From: "Professor Michael Kasdaglis, dcsw,lcsw,cmft,lmft,cflm,..."

Subject: META_INDEX

Dear Brad;

A few weeks ago you were kind enoug to give me permission to use your
meta index in the Diagnostics Website....
May I invite you to visit "http://www.diagnostics.org/meta.html", review
what you see, and give me your final approval, and/or offer
suggestions. This page can be accessed directly from the diagnostics
home page by going to the drop-down window labeled Links & Forums, and
choosing "Meta_Index"...

Thank you again
Mike

I will continue to built and refine your work.... You are more than
welcome to use this page for your own web-site... If you need help with
"how-to", please write to me.(end quote)

I sent quite a bit of correspondence over the last several days. Professor
Michael Kasdaglis has not gotten back to me. My first e-mail to him was at
least 6 days ago. I am sorry, but I find this intolerable. I am seeking
your advice on what to do. I think many have reason to wonder about the
"The American Board of Mental Health Diagnostics". Does it exist for any
reason other than to collect money from people? It seems to me it may be
much like a porn site, though it is selling "status" and not porn. In any
case how do I get this fellow into line with our agreement ?? What can I
do about what appears to be a copyright violation?? regards, brad
