You may only have shortcuts on your desktop to get you to the 
installation of Money and Works. If so, they can simply be deleted. 
However, check your 'add/remove' list in 'control panel'. If Money and 
Works are listed, you can highlight each and select 'remove'. I have 
never encountered any negative operational effects on the OS caused by 
removing them.

Power DVD can also be likewise removed and Windows Media Player will 
play the DVD's. I assume you have at least XP as an OS with Windows 
Media Player installed. I believe the latest version is 11.
