I've just loaded up an Asus A7V/Athlon Thunderbird 900MHz/128MB system w/ Win98 first Edition.
In trying to use PowerQuest Drive Image 3.0, I found that the system hangs when going in to Real Mode from Windows. When the system exits to go into Real Mode either from
PQDI3 or from the SHUTDOWN menu, it hangs at the black screen w/ the cursor blinking in the upper left hand corner. The system has to be reset to continue.
There are 4 IDE devices ((2) 20GB HDs on Primary and a CD-ROM drive and a Zip Drive on Secondary) and (1) internal SCSI device (a CDR drive).
I disconnected the SCSI device to see if that was the problem but the results are the same. All the devices seem to be detected ok - I'm wondering if there's a software or
configuration issue or a known bug related to this problem.
Configuration:
Sound Blaster Live!Value PCI
Netgear 10/100 NIC PCI
Adaptec 2906 SCSI PCI
ATI AGP Graphics Accelerator
I'd be greatful for your feedback.
