I have what I think is a font problem or problems.

I am running Windows XP Home Edition on an Emachine. The other day I installed a Game (Pure Sudoku) and the font was messed up and almost unreadable. I then installed it on my laptop (same operating system) and it works fine. I think a font is messed up on my desktop but do not know where to start looking.

I then looked at a Word document on my desktop and it was unreadable. It says that the font is 'Times New Roman Special G1' but I can't find that font installed on my machine. I copied the document to my laptop with the same results. I highlighted the text and tried to change the font but seem to get nothing but square boxes regardless of which font I choose. I finally opened the document in Note Pad and was able to print it and re-type it.

I don't know if these problems are related, but since they both involve fonts, I thought they might be. Any help would be appreciated.
