Every few days or so, I will start up MS Internet Explorer 4.01 and
suddenly get a
"Navigation Cancelled" screen. The "additional info" link implies that *I*
cancelled
the navigation, which is a scurrilous lie. But when I try to force it to
go online by
clicking on the HOME icon, I get the message, "Internet Explorer could not
connect
to <homepage>. An internal error occurred in the Internet Explorer
extensions."

The only solution I've been able to come up with is to completely remove and
reinstall IE, which is a royal pain in the fundamental orifice.

I have no idea why this error occurs. I can be using IE one minute, exit
it for 30 seconds,
then load it up again, and whammo! "An internal error occurred in the
Internet Explorer
extensions."

What's even more annoying is that restoring the files from a backup doesn't
seem
to work (or the offending "extension" is buried so deep I haven't been able
to locate
it yet).

If anyone has encountered this problem and come up with a simple solution,
I would
LOVE to hear about it.
