Related to this Exchange (pun may, perhaps, be intended), it may not be such
a good
idea to take the steps listed in the reply to this question.

the "Make
Outlook Express my default e-mail client" rewrote mapi32.dll in such a way
as to have
it 'call' the MSExchange client, which did not have the same location for
the .wab (Windows
Address Book) he normally used.  In fact it wouldn't work at all.  After
some fruitless effort
expended removing check marks, rebooting, etc., the fault was finally cured
by replacing
the "new" mapi32.dll with the original file contained in the IE5 install
folder.

BTW, the instructions contained in Mr. Ballard's response will have the
desired effect.
