Linda,
Skype is free of viruses and other problems. It's a great program that
allows you to talk to other Skype users for free - anywhere in the World,
24-7.Voice over Skype comes through much clearer than phone connections.
Just be sure that you and the Skype person that you are calling have good
computers and a good Internet connection, or the sound might break up.
It also has Skypeout which allows you to talk to anyone in the World when
you purchase connect time in Eurodollars. It connects to a local connection
at the destination. The $ charge is like calling your friend from a home
near his. Most calls in the US are two cents per minute and overseas is
usually 3 to eight cents per minute depending on where you are calling.
Good luck.
