<<<i have an old windows 95 computer up graded to windows 98 tht has 2 hdd's. one
with 2gb in drive d and the other a 4gb in drive c. i can format drive d but
when i go to format drive c i get a message "this drive cannot be formated
because another process is in use. how do i work around this. should i take the
2gb drive out or what other process could be use. thanks,>>>

How are your drives configured? master/slave/cable select? do you have any other optical drives? I think we need some more info (your operating system/ whether you are using windows formatting feature or some other third party software like partition magic).but perhaps some other members may be able to offer suggestions with the info you have provided i don't know.

have a nice day----Venkat Viswanathan
