Have an external HDD which I use for backups of my wife's and my computers over our peer-peer network.  MS Backup (joint software with VERITAS) does not "see" my wife's machine when I start to pick files for the backup.  However, Windows Explorer DOES see her machine and her shared files, and her machine sees my machine and my shared files, and we can manipulate each others' files which are configured with that permission level. Can anyone give me a clue on this?  Thanks!
