I have a 6 mos old Sony laptop. Suddenly it will not recognize my A drive
at all. In Explorer there is no icon to click to see the contents of the
drive. Also it is impossible to write to a disk in the drive from any
program I have installed. However, if I boot up the computer with a disk in
the drive the computer sees it and gives the usual "system disk error" yada,
yada.
I've tried taking the drive out (it is swappable with a CD drive but I don't
have a CD drive to try since there is another CD drive installed in a
different spot) and putting it back in..........no difference. Suggestions
short of re-installing XP?? Thanks
