Quarterdeck was bought by Symantec, so Clean Sweep is now a Norton product.
I purchased Clean Sweep recently and found it to be less than satisfactory -
at least under Windows 2000 it does not work well, nor even under NT. The
old Norton Uninstall works better, but it was discontinued in favor of Clean
Sweep when Symantec bought it.
From my experience with uninstallers, although limited, shows that they
don't do a good job. It is best if you get familiar with the registry and
know how to check it out yourself. For best uninstallation, record what gets
changed during the install. This can be done using a freeware program called
In Control from PC Mag. Look for inctrl4.zip on www.zdnet.com
