Sorry readers... I found the problem with the IE... turns out that that I
inadvertantly set up Spybot S&D not to accept any changes in IE BEFORE
setting up IE the way I like it. After unchecking the three boxes to lock IE
out, the problem went away. My apologies for posting without searching all
other possibilities first.

Hello list,

I just did a clean install of WXP and the IE doesn't seem to want to close
unless I restart. Can anyone shed some light on what I did to cause this?
