Has anyone had any problems with the Windows Update website recently?

I am going to the site at v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp and clicking on Scan for Updates and then get this message after about 20-30 seconds:

Windows Update Error

I am running 2 Dell Dimension 4100 systems, both with Win XP Pro. Both systems were working perfectly with the Update web page until today.

Any ideas?
