Paul,
I know that in NT, you can use the command netsend to talk to other NT
machines. I'm not sure if you can send it to a Win9X machine though. To do
this, you can run it through dos, or you can try just through the
Start-->Run. Type "netsend (machine name) (message)" without quotes or
parenthesis. Make sure you have the spaces. I'm not sure if this would be
completely beneficial for you though, because this takes a little time to do
each time. If nothing else works, you can use Aol Instant Messenger or
Yahoo Messenger...there are others also. Hope this helps.

Subject: Intranet messaging...one more time.

Thanks for the replies. "Winpopup.exe" allowed me to get this up and going
quickly. I am, however, unable to get the NT's messaging working. NT
doesn't have "winpopup.exe" like the rest, or at least not in a location
where I can find it. The only thing that looks close to this is "messaging
service" but again, I am unable to run the executable. I should note that
sending a message from a 98 to an NT produces the message on the NT. Any
further ideas are appreciated. Thanks again for your time.
Regards,
Paul Roeth
