> How do you turn off Windows 98 Logo.
The best way I know of is to do the following.
Go to My computer /view/ folder options
click on "Show All Files" click ok and close.
Go to C: and find Msdos.sys , right click go to properties
Uncheck the box marked " read only" click ok.
Right click on Msdos.sys and click on "open with" when the dialog box comes
up scroll down to notepad. Click on notepad and click ok. Under "[options]"
type in (without the quotes) "Logo=0" . Go to File and save. Close up
notepad. Go back to C: and right click on Msdos.sys and put the check mark
back in read only. Click OK and restart your computer. It should restart
without the windows logo. Please note this Msdos.sys file is one of the best
files for start up tweaks there is a lot more you can do to help speed up
the start time of your computer. Please look into the Freepc tweaks or go to
google and enter msdos.sys tweaks.
Thanks,
Brendhan Horne
