It is actually the dialer that remembers your password.  It usually is
necessary to have "Client for Microsoft Networks" installed for the
"remember password" box to be checkable in the dialer.
To do this go to:
Start/Settings/Control Panel/Network
Then if it isn't installed click:
Add/Microsoft/client for microsoft networks/ok
Then follow instructions and maybe a reboot and the box should be
checkable the next time you call up the dialer.  - Hope this helps  -
