Quite some time ago I downloaded some information which consisted of a
number of files within a folder. At a later date I started to transfer the
information to an external drive but only some of the files transferred
because the external drive was full. It was left with some files (within a
foler) on each drive. Later when I had room again on the external I
transferred the remaining files from the internal drive. I then deleted the
empty folder on the internal drive.
The problem now is that the empty folder keeps returning to my internal hard
drive. This is not causing any problems but it is annoying. I have deleted
over an over. I even deleted the file then deleted the restore points and
rebooted. But it keeps returning. Is there anything else that can be
looked at/done or is the only solution to remove everything from the
internal drive and reformat.

I have run Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarbytes......no issues
there.

I have Windows XP SP 3.

Thanks.
