Yep! I just wish it made more sense. I don't need it for email. Getting one gigabyte of storage space for backup storage costs more than $10 per month! Ann Fennell

Ann,

From what I know about GMail, it is a free email account from Google, with a
gigabyte of storage space. You can only get it by being invited by someone
who has it, then Google wants you to invite someone else to join.

For now, that's all I know. Maybe the Google homepage has more about it,
but I haven't checked it out yet. My son told me about it, and I nearly
flipped when he told me about the 1 gig of space! And I thought Yahoo went
wild by upgrading from 4 mb to 100 mb of storage space for their email...
apparently Google felt the need to "outdo" them.

Don't ya just love "friendly" competition?

Hope this helps.
