Season Greetings all, ha...hic..py holidays.

I recently set up a temporary FTP (WAR) server on a clients machine for a
remote user to pass data to. Everything worked fine when I did a dry run
from a remote site(here) using the intended user's UID & PW. However, just
received a call from client stating that there are currently trying to
upload about 500MB of data (multiple zips and/or rar files) and sender is
receiving "550. Access Denied" errors on about every 1 out of 3
files. Problematic files are not currently open/in use; similar files from
same directory are uploaded fine.

I've installed same server here and configured it the same. Using a whole
directory's contents I encounter no errors when transferring (but note, I'm
ftp'ing into a localhost, here). Logged into client's site as admin (could
not log in as intended user as he was connected at the time, and I'd
restricted users to one login per session) and experienced no problems with
any xfers. Server is on a Win2K pro system; remote user using
'98. Permissions appear to be in order and receiving site has the capacity
to store the expected MBs. Anyone have any ideas as to what is the cause
of this problem? TIA
