In my computer labs, we do not reboot very often. The computers run 24x7
with various students in and out all day. We use a multiplicity of apps.
I reboot the machines once a week.

The reason to reboot would be if any of the applications have "memory
leaks". This would be a program that takes memory and when the program is
closed it does not release the memory. If that is happening the system
will slow down as more of the cache is used. A reboot will clean this up.
