An awful lot of people (besides me) use a product called Internet Call
Manager (ICM) and swear by it. I don't know how it compares to Callwave but
it appears it's slightly more expensive. It does work and works damn well.
You can send canned messages or record your own. People calling can leave a
message (if your optional message asks them to) and you can play it back on
the web. You can optionally send them a pre-recorded message that you "see"
who's calling and will call them back.

Check their website at www.icm.com and you can arrange a free months trial.
