I've had this query often from customers - 'how much space to reserve for
TIFs? (Temporary Internet Files)
I've come to the same conclusion as Tom - a tiny amount like 15Mb is fine.
As far as I'm aware, the whole idea of the TIF cache began with the need for
older, slower computers to store web pages, so that return visits to a
website wouldn't require the computer to re-download all of the information.
But I don't know if that's relevant anymore, with faster modems and
increased processing power.
I frequently clean out my TIF folder with a DOS batchfile that completely
empties it, and I can't say as I've ever noticed webpages loading any slower
because of this.
