Maurice Reid asked how to change a column of numbers from
positive to negative in one fell swoop.

You don't use one of the built in function for this.

In an empty cell type -1
Then copy the -1 cell, highlight the cells you wish to turn
minus and choose Edit/Paste Special. In the "Operation"
section of the dialogue box select "Multiply" and the job
is done.

You could select the whole column where you want the
numbers made negative but if you do any blank cells will
have a zero put in them.
