Do you have both running on your system now? If so, my advice is to "deep
six" Norton quickly. When we got our first computer (HP) back in '99 it
came loaded with both Norton and McAfee for some strange reason. We didn't
know any better and assumed we were double protected. It took several
months, but eventually the two security packages slammed up against each
other and corrupted our hard drive and we lost EVERYTHING. We took it a
compu-geek outfit and they told us "it's fried". If you have McAfee only, I
prefer it to Norton. Norton "injected" a boot file in its Norton Go-Back
program that also crashed our computer. I jettisoned Norton last November,
after it crashed our hard drive, and chose McAfee and have never regretted
it.

My McAffee update is making me choose between the two.
Could folks help with reasons two choose one or the other?
