Hi Phil,
Were you able to use a JPEG image before this instance? Do you get an error
message or a window telling you why you can't do this? Normally, you can set
a JPEG as wallpaper in the following manner with Windows 98SE:
If the JPEG image is on your computer, right click a blank area on your
Desktop and select Properties. Display Properties should open at the
Background tab. Click the "Browse" button and go to where the image you want
to use is located and select it. Click "Apply" to see how it looks as you
may, depending on the image, need to adjust "Display" (Center, Tile,
Stretch) for the best view. Click "OK" and your done.
Also, with the image open or from a selected image on a Web page, you can
right click the image and select "Set as Background". This works with .jpg,
.gif, .png, etc.
