I have had that error too. (MSIE+OE v 5.5 on Win95B)
(It is sometimes followed by an MSIE Internal Error...)
I noticed today when I got the following Security patch that
that file was replaced.  I can only hope that helped...
MS says this file is an HTML viewer. Mine is (now)
ver 5.50.4207.2601 dated 07/28/2000 3:25pm
