Since your boot disk works, you could try to restore the registry to a date before you removed your driver. I don't
know if this will solve the problem, but it's worth a try...

- Use your boot disk and boot to A:\ prompt, (with or without CD-ROM support.)
- Change the directory to C:\Windows\Command.
- Type SCANREG
- Choose 'Start' to scan the registry, then you'll have options...
- Choose ' View Backups '
- Use your up/down arrow keys to select a RB file (Reg Backup) dated before your problem. (Windows saves 5 backups
by default - you can increase that up to 99 thru scanreg.ini)
- Highlight 'Restore' and hit 'Enter'.
- 'OK' your way out, remove your boot disk and restart.
