Irvin,

You are confusing an operating system with an application.
Win95 and WinNT are operating systems and have nothing to do
with the documents.  As long as you have the same version of
an application (MS Office in this case) on both systems, then
files can be used on either machine.

If one machine has an older version of the application, then
the newer version _might_ need to be told to save the file in the
older versions format.
