An aside to this thread: I have found that a certain part of the whatis.com
site is extremely useful for finding out those "what is this file format?"
answers. If you search straight from whatis.com, you may not get an answer,
but if you search on the file format at
http://www.whatis.com/ff.htm
you generally get a result. Just thought it was worth a mention; it's a site
I use regularly, and they sometimes have things listed that I could not find
elsewhere.
