I have uninstalled all Norton products from several client's PCs, usually
because they switched to broadband and had configuration problems.
XP's system restore and the AVG anti-virus combined with Zone Alarm and/or a
router does everything they need without the invasiveness of Norton.
Scandisk has been replaces by chkdsk, which can be run by right-clicking the
drive and looking under properties, or from the run line. You'll usually
have to reboot for it to run.

Just checking to see if anyone has had problems using Norton Utilities and
Clean Sweep that come with Norton System Works 2002 with Windows XP Pro. I
have Norton Anti-Virus 2003 installed. Win XP comes with roll-back software
similar, I think, to the Roxio Go-Back program so don't plan to install
those. Have heard that Win XP does a good job maintaining the system and add
on programs are not needed. However I can not find ScanDisk, or something
similar, on Win XP. All comments welco
