Same thing here. This is what works on my computer (XP Home, I.E.):
A very easy way to sort your favorites, if you have Favorites in your start menu as I do, open Favorites from Start menu, right click anywhere in a blank area (do not hi-lite any specific folder), a menu will appear: View, Arrange Icons By ... click on "Arrange Icons By and you can select one of the following: Name, Size, Type, Modified.

Subject: Re: [PCSOFT] Sorting Favorites in Alphabetical Order
I did exactly as you told Bonnie to do in order to alphabetize her<br>"Favorites" but when you r-click on any of them, the window that shows has<br>no "Sort By Name" to select. I am running XP Home and using IE. Any<br>suggestions? The hold no punches site you referred her to has no<br>information that I can find. The Computer Lady apparently has it in her<br>archives, which is where I tried, but any search using "alphabetize",<br>favorites, etc., yields a cannot locate message.<br><br>Joy Carter<br>[log in to unmask]<br>----- Original Message -----<br>From: "Dean Kiley" <[log in to unmask]><br>To: <[log in to unmask]><br>Sent: Sunday, September 05, 2004 4:39 PM<br>Subject: Re: [PCSOFT] Sorting Favorites in Alphabetical Order<br><br><br>> Bonnie:<br>><br>> If using IE, click on "Favorites" in the toolbar, then right click on any<br>> item and select "Sort By Name".
