Okay, I downloaded "java script", but what do I need it for, or how to

Karen,
JavaScript is a scripting (programming ) language used to control the
actions on a web page. You do not download this as a separate operations. I
don't know what it is you are referring to. Did you download Java support
for your browser?
So, to answer your question, I got it off of this PCSOFT board. It said:

There had been previous "discussions" on here about java, and so after reading all of it, I decided that maybe I should download it, but know I don't know what to use it for. Maybe I should delete it. What do you think?
I just thought that I might need it one day so maybe I should download it now while I had/have the site to get it.
