Try the followings:
1- Rename the .BIF file. This file resides in the Windows directory.
Ex.. c:\ren *.bif *.old
This file (Binary Information File) contains settings to run Perfect Office
applications. By renaming this file, WordPerfect or Quattro will create a new BIF
file.
Note: you will lose all your preferences, if any. You have to create them again.
Reboot your PC after re-naming the file.
2- Remove any printer driver and re-boot (if it still does not work!!!).
Good luck and let's know how it goes.

Greetings all,
Here is a problem that has me stumped........
My partners home computer is a 90 MHz Pentium with a Western
Digital 1.2 GIG hard drive and 16 meg's RAM. The OS is Windows
for Workgroups v3.11.
I installed Novel Perfect Office for him which has been working
just fine for over 12 months. All of a sudden WordPerfect v6.1
refuses to load.
An error message like "Cannot load wpwin61.exe. There is an error
at module 12345:76543"
So far this is what I have tried:
1. Ran memmaker - all ok 616 kb free for DOS
2. Ran defrag and did a full defrag and disk surface test - all
ok
3. Tested other proggy's under WFW 3.11 - all ok
4. Found out that QuattroPro won't load either so re-installed
the whole Office suite again. (Nearly 35 disks - ggrrrrrrrrrr
!!!)
Still no luck, same error message and if you try to load WP for a
second time after boot-up a new message appears, "Cannot
initialize wpwin61.exe"
5. Renamed wpwin61.exe to wpwin61.old and copied a known working
wpwin61.exe file into the appropriate directory - still no luck
6. Ran a virus proggy (McAfee) - no virus
7. Cleaned my 12gg shotgun...............(almost)
I am now asking you to assist me as I am really stumped !
Thank you,
Errol (where are my shells) Lishman CPO
