I think that there should be an entry in the Add/Remove Programs table.  It
is possible you may have problems removing it now that you have installed
the newer version.  I've run into some programs that had this problem.
Another possibility is that installing the newer version has already
overwritten the old version.  Just some warnings of possible problems to
watch for.  I believe AOL has its own internal newsgroups for users.  Try
searching for newsgroups with AOL in the name.
