At my location, we are using Client32 and NetWare 4.1. The lastdrive
statement is apparently needed in order for the VLM 'communication' to
occur. Additionally, it does need to read 'lastdrive=Z'.

The presence of himem.sys and emm386.exe should not be an impediment to
logging into a NW 4.1 network. Indeed, they may free up the memory the VLMs
need at the client level.

Just my $.02. HTH
