I am running W98, Pentium3, 500mhz, IE 6

While checking my Incredimail a window popped up with the message that it had performed an illegal...................kernel32.dll........and will close.  However, it would not close.  I could not remove the window.  I was unable to CTRL/ALT/DEL to close the program either.  Finally, had to reboot to get rid of it.  This only happens once in awhile.  Any idea what causes it and how to prevent it.  The Incredimail website help is useless.  Thanks in advance.
