Win Me is part of the Win 9x group. Windows 2K and XP are based on Windows NT. Win 2K is much less friendly to applications that run on Win 9x than XP is. In all likelihood you will not be able to install a Win 9x program on a Win 2K system, although it may run on Win XP. Just to be sure run a google search on autorun.ivi.
>Clicking on the next to the last one and choosing 'Sort by Name' worked for me and I'm using version ME.
>Which brings me to 'my' question: I recently bought software intended for Windows 2000 or XP. When I try to install it onto my computer, I get a message that says: "no autorun.ivi"
>Is Windows 2000 and ME not 'close enough' that I will be able to install this?
