I am using the free version. I had this e-mail scan problem several 
times in the past. Pin pointing the problem never appeared for me. When 
this problem did happen I would open the program from the taskbar and 
click E-mail scanner. By doing that it cleared the problem for then. The 
next time I booted the system it came back. I think what cleared my 
problem was to get updates and I did an uninstall and a reinstall 
because of a security update from Microsoft that made the scanner run 
slow. I have not seen the problem in over a month.
