The bookmarks should remain intact if you install Netscape 4.5 in the same
directory where you had Netscape 4.04. Mine did.
I don't know what NS's installation program would do if you install NS 4.5
in a different directory from where you had NS 4.04.
In either case (same or different directory), as an extra precaution, you
may want to make a copy, in a different directory, of your bookmark file
BOOKMARK.HTM file. (My original BOOKMARK.HTM file was in my
\Netscape\Users\myname directory.)
I don't use the addressbook, so I don't know the answer to that.
I believe the plug-in files will be left alone (if you install NS 4.5 in
the same directory where you had NS 4.04), but that they may not all work
(or be recognized as having been installed) in 4.5. However, NS's upgrade
page will tell you which ones are installed on your computer and which can
be upgraded, and you can download whichever ones you check off.
