One good reason is to create an updated install CD which includes all
the service packs.It saves having to apply them afterwards.
Especially useful if the original is the "Gold" version (no SP)
or just XP w SP1.

Read the directions at the link I sent you in the last post. You need to
copy the folder onto your hard drive not onto a CD.
